Shalom!
Today is the third day of the month of Elul, the month we spend preparing for the “High Holidays” starting with Rosh Hashanah.
Elul propels us inward— to look at our past year and think of what we have struggled with, accomplished, hard moments, quiet moments, times that we have felt disconnected, and times that we have felt our soul shine through. During Elul, we reach inside to find who we really are beneath all the externals— To shed the outer image we have created and have relied on so heavily.
After a year of running from stress and worry; not seeing the truth in situations or thoughts—Elul invites us back to our essence, to return to our inner world that is pure beyond wrongdoing. Come to your refuge and meet G-d in the field.
Chabad Buckhead and Brookhaven are excited to start off the new year together with the blow of the shofar in the park, prayer services, holiday meals, and lots of socializing! Attached please find our calendar of events. We have linked the ticketing portals on our website calendar as well. We hope to see as many of you as possible as we continue to build our inspired community.
